Wings lost last night - I can't complain.

What's up with that?

Well, they did win it last year, and the Penguins got all the way to the finals again this year to stage a rematch...that's a hungry team. Not to mention scary good when they're "on", and I think they were last night. I think the Wings are lucky the score was so close.

So I was crabby afterward. But not for long. Ok, a little longer than I would have liked, but it didn't take me long to remember my blessings, and I mean beyond sports there (so many!), but even in my sports world, how could I complain?

My Wings are a great hockey team. They're still in contention for the Cup. My Tigers are very watchable - and for baseball, that's all it takes for me. And then there's Roger...in theory, I should not dare ask for another sports dream for a while.

In theory.

I watched it through all the way last night too and was a bit down afterwards. But I am relearning what an advantage home ice is.
There's another chance at home on Friday!

Awww. Yeah, they still have a chance.

It's going to be tough for me to watch...I don't want to go to the pub again - too nervous, and my kid has deserted me for the next game because I annoyed the heck out of him last night. :)

So I'll be hiding behind the pillows on my couch. LOL.

I know what you mean about sports-blessings. The Steelers yesterday unveiled the players' championship ring for Super Bowl XLIII http://news.steelers.com/article/105731/ I consider the Pens to be underdogs but anything can happen in one game. And then there are the Pirates! Uh - Steelers open training camp on July 31!!!

Cool!

I love the Steelers, BirdieBob! They're my adopted team since Detroit doesn't have a team. So we're on the same side there. :)

Heh. You two have lost me there. I would never betray the Pack. :-?

The Packers are another class franchise. Some Wisconsin Catholic bishops originally from Pittsburgh have even rooted for the Pack; until being transferred back to the 'Burgh! :-)

I like your Packers too, chickenlittle. :) When we lived in South Dakota, they were my brother's favorite team.

Detroit doesn't have a team?

OK, I'm not a sports expert--I barely qualify for "sports ignoramus"--but...the Lions?

Hee. Yeah, we do technically have a team, I suppose, Blake.

They went 0-16 last year. It's so bad here that it's pretty shocking to see anyone wearing any Lions related clothing.

I do clean the house in my Lions T-shirt. Sometimes use it to dust.
